I really hate girls, sometimes. Such mean, catty little creatures we are.

I didn't make my true friends until junior high and high school. More high school than anything. Sometime I'll have to tell Maggie about my slumber party from Hell. I remember having this lightbulb moment with some of my friends in grade school where I thought, "Why am I friends with them? I don't even like them!"
I had some pretty hard years dealing with "friends". I hope she makes it through it OK.
Try not to worry about it Maggie, you will find loyal friends -- like all of us did eventually. There are tons of kids just like you who feel like they don't have friends, and they are not nerds or weird. They might be shy like I was, and I often didn't have friends.
